Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a collection of questions I frequently get asked. If you have additional questions please feel free to email me here.
Your originals are always sold out. How to I get one?
I only create a handful of larger works and a few smaller ones per year and they tend to sell out really quickly, so they can be a bit tricky to get! New originals are released every 6-8 weeks. If you’d like to be among the first to know when originals become available, including exclusive early access to purchase originals, join my ABK COLLECTOR’S CLUB HERE.
Can I commission a custom painting or portrait of my horse?
Yes! I do take on a limited number of commissions per year. Pricing starts at $1,000 and is calculated based on the size, media and overall complexity of the design. If you’re interested in a custom painting please visit my COMMISSIONS PAGE .
Can I make a print or copy of a painting I bought from you?
The short answer is: No.
I retain all rights to every piece of artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless the Collector has purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork (this is an additional charge to purchasing the original).
The Collector or buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission. I hold copyright on each artwork I create, including the right to claim statutory copyright and will pursue legal action for any and all unauthorized use.
When you purchase an original painting you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork in your home or business but the artwork may not be reproduced in any way, shape or form without my written permission.
Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting. Some collectors choose to purchase copyright from me to ensure the artwork will never become a print and some wish to license the work to create merchandise. These are things I am happy to discuss.
Please note, this would be an additional charge on top of the price of the painting.
